Terms and Conditions
Tuition is available to anybody who is 17 years old or over (16years if in receipt of the higher rate of disability living allowance (mobility component)) as long as you hold a valid driving licence (provisional/full) and are legally allowed to drive in the UK. You must not attempt to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, prescription or otherwise. Alcohol and drugs can remain in your system for days. For prescription drugs check the label or consult a pharmacist or doctor.
The car you are driving that is supplied by the Crescent School of Motoring, is legally insured for the purpose of driving tuition (given by a Driving Standards Agency licensed Driving Instructor) and driving tests (if conducted by a Driving Standards Agency licenced Driving Examiner). However, you will be liable to pay the excess if you are on a driving test and are involved in an accident that is your fault. You will also be liable to pay for any damage to the vehicle caused by you whilst it is in your care on the driving test (tyres, trims, scratches, dents etc.). As with any hire agreement, the vehicle must be returned in it’s original condition.
To cancel an appointment, you must give at least a 48 hour cancellation notice, should you fail to do this you will have to pay the full amount for the missed appointment. If you change your pick up or drop off point without prior arrangement with your instructor it is possible you may not receive the full time but will be charged the full amount.
If you are late for your appointment your lesson will still end at the arranged time and you will still be charged the full amount.
If your instructor is late you will be given the full time arranged. In the unlikely event of the instructor cancelling the appointment, every effort to reschedule to a mutually convenient time will be made as soon as possible.
Payments must be made in full at the time of the lesson and a charge of £1 per day will be made for any late payment (other than by prior arrangement with the instructor).
Any payments made by cheque will be subject to a £1 handling charge.
